Yes, I am so happy to see more Moms enjoying this site! I would like to welcome you and encourage you to comment on anything, tell all your friends, and share any good deals or recipe ideas. Recently I had a chain letter come through my email that read if you send this and blah, blah, blah you will receive 36 recipes. I quickly sent my recipe and never received not even one recipe back... bummer! But no worries, I am a decent cook and I always come with fun & easy things to make. For example here is my newest creation that my family fell in love with.
I purchase a Texas size frozen roll pack, then let them thaw. Then I flattened to about the size of a small pancake and placed about 2 tablespoons of spaghetti sauce with a couple tablespoons of shredded cheese and threw in a couple sliced olives and some diced ham and crushed pineapple and then folded over the flattened roll to make a half circle pinching all the edges together. Let them rise for an hour or two and then bake till golden brown. These were delicious and very inexpensive.
What do you do that is quick and easy dinner??

You can make your own rice-a-roni meal very cheaply. Brown some rice and broken up spaghetti noodles in a little oil. I add some onions and garlic to brown in the oil at this point, chicken chunks, maybe some veggies such as peas in the pod.
ReplyDeleteThen add water (twice as much as how much rice/noodles you used) and some flavoring (ideas: basil, leftover ramen packet, bullion, other herbs). Boil until the rice and noodles are cooked!
Thanks Hannah, great idea!! That is diffently one of those great dinner starters, so many possibilities! And I have to admit I had never thought of making my own! So thanks! :0)
